MISSISSAUGA, ON — September 15, 2011 — Survalent Technology, the most trusted provider of smart grid solutions for the control room, announced today that it has commissioned a new Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system for Ukiah Public Utilities.

Ukiah Public Utilities, located in north central California, serves approximately 7,500 meters and operates the Lake Mendocino Hydroelectric Plant. Renewable energy generation and hydroelectric plants provide approximately 80% of Ukiah's power. They are a member of Northern California Power Association (NCPA) and American Public Power Association (APPA).

The new system features Survalent's highly available, open-architecture system based on Windows Server 2008. The system includes several of Survalent's open system applications, including: Operations and Outages Accounting, Event Data Recording, IED Wizard, Control Panel, SCADA Add-in for MS Excel and Access, and External Clock Interface Remote Alarm Annunciation.
