MISSISSAUGA, ON — November 8, 2011 — Survalent Technology, the most trusted provider of smart grid solutions for the control room, announced today that it has commissioned a new Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system for City of Azusa Light & Water.

Azusa Light and Water serve approximately 15,000 customers with an annual power consumption of over 240,000 megawatts,including residential, commercial, and industrial. They are a member of Southern California Public Power Authority (SCPPA) and California Municipal Utilities Association (CMUA).

The new system features Survalent's highly available, open-architecture system based on Windows Server 2008. It includes several of Survalent's open system applications, including: WorldView, SCADA Explorer, Command Sequencing, Event Data Recording, IED Wizard, Control Panel, Remote Alarm Annunciation, SCADA Add-in for MS Excel and Access, and Disturbance Database Capture.
