Survalent Technology Commissions New SCADA System for Mitchell Electric Membership Corporation
MISSISSAUGA, ON — February 28, 2012— Survalent Technology, the most trusted provider of smart grid solutions for the control room, announced today that it has commissioned a new Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system Mitchell Electric Membership Corporation.
Mitchell Electric Membership Corporation is a not-for-profit consumer-owned electric cooperative that supplies energy to more than 25,000 accounts in Southwest Georgia. Organized and incorporated in 1937 to supply electricity to people that investor-owned utilities refused to serve, it is locally owned and operated, and is a cooperative type business. The corporation is headquartered in Camilla, GA with branch offices in Albany and Sylvester.
The new system features Survalent’s highly available, open-architecture system based on Windows Server 2008. It includes several of Survalent's open system applications, including: WorldView, SCADA Explorer, Command Sequencing, IED Wizard, SCADA Add-In, Remote Alarm Annunciation, Multispeak, SCADA Replicator and WebSurv.
