MISSISSAUGA, ON — April 3, 2012 — Survalent Technology, the most trusted provider of smart grid solutions for the control room, announced today that it has commissioned a new Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system at the City of Shasta Lake, California.

The City of Shasta Lake is a load serving entity and distribution provider. The City operates four electrical substations providing retail electric service to customers located within the City's corporate limits, as well as certain adjacent areas and serves approximately 4,453 retail customers, of which 4,100 are residential. The City of Shasta Lake is a member of California Municipal Utilities Association (CMUA).

The new system features Survalent’s highly available, open-architecture system based on Windows Server 2008. It includes several of Survalent's open system applications, including: WorldView, SCADA Explorer, Command Sequencing, IED Wizard and Control Panel, SCADA Add-In, Remote Alarm Annunciation, Short Term Load Forecasting and Multispeak Interface to the Tantalus AMI system.
