Station Controller Updates

The new version of the Station Controller software as well as the new Station Explorer II application are current undergoing field beta testing.

The Station Controller software will be used on both the Scout and the Hunter Controllers and can interface to the new Station Explorer II.

Station Controller
The software has received many function upgrades and enhancements with the most interesting listed here.

The web server operational pages have been updated to show point names, raw and scaled values, point Unit IDs and deadband settings. Each page can be configured to show the desired fields as well as how many row and columns per page.

The point names, scaling and unit ID can be configured using the Station Explorer or they can be downloaded from Survalent’s master station using the latest DNP scan task. The master will use the point data already entered in its database which means that the names and values will appear the same on both the master’s displays and on the Station Controller’s operational web pages.

Hunter Controller
The Hunter has received an increase of the number of control outputs it can handle up from 16 to 64. This has been achieved with a software enhancement as well as new interposing relay board. The basic Hunter hardware has not changed allowing upgrade to existing Hunters.

Station Explorer II
The Station Explorer II is a pc application program and an extension of the current Station Explorer and has the capability of configuring the Controllers either Online or Offline, set triggers and display waveform captured data from the Hunter Controller as well as map hardware and IED points in the Controllers. The point maps can also be uploaded from the Controller, modified and returned back to the Controller. A terminal emulator has also been included for telnet console communication.
