SCADA Applications

Command Sequencing Command Sequencing is an easy-to-use high-level programming language which is specifically designed to be used with Survalent systems. It allows you to define and execute programs which use database points as variables. Command Sequence programs can be used for calculations, one-shot control or switching sequences and for closed-loop control. Disturbance Capture Disturbance Capture records changes in all analog and status points using a 15-second sample rate, and checks for user-defined disturbances. When a disturbance is detected, the analog sampling rate is increased to 5 seconds for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, a capture file is created. The capture file contains the 15-second samples for 30 minutes before the disturbance plus the five minutes’ worth of 5 second samples recorded immediately after the disturbance. The file also includes the date and time of the disturbance and the event that triggered the capture. Event Data Recording Event Data Recording records all status changes, operator controls and Sequence of Events (SOE) data. Non-SOE events are time-stamped to the nearest second. SOE events are time-stamped to the nearest 1 millisecond (subject to the capabilities of the RTU). External Alarm Bell For operations under noisy conditions (i.e. Generation Stations), External Alarm Bell can control (activate/de-activate) several different external alarm bells based on alarm priorities for any of the different alarm zone groups. Requires local RTU. External Clock Interface (GPS) External Clock Interface synchronizes the computer time to that of the external (GPS) clock every minute. An alarm is raised if the SCADA system cannot read the clock. IEC 61131-3 Programmability IEC 61131-3 Programmability includes all five PLC programming environments (Sequential Function Chart, Instruction List, Ladder Diagram, Function Block Diagram and Structured Text). Map Board Driver Map Board Driver supports the CIS protocol (serial or TCP/IP) and is used to assign database points to map board lamp and indicator addresses. The driver specifies how the lamps and indicators are to operate based on the database point values. Master/Slave Alarm Suppression Master/Slave Alarm Suppression allows a defined hierarchy of primary/secondary (master/slave) alarm point relationships. These relationships may be used for either alarm suppression or group acknowledgement, or both. Projection Screen
Remote Alarm Annunciation Remote Alarm Annunciation application creates alarm messages for e-mail or pager systems. The user can define which points are annunciated, and for each point, which alarm states are annunciated. SCADA Add-in for Excel SCADA Add-in application allows the user to export current and historical data from the SCADA system into MS Excel or MS Access. All point data fields (not just values) are available to export. The menu commands are available from the native application within Excel or Access. Connecting to the SCADA/HMI system requires entering a user name and password, so only authorized users gain access to this information. SCADA Add-in is compatible with: MS Windows 98, 2000, and XP. |
