SCADA Virtual Enablement Courses

Command Sequencing (4 PDH)

The Command Sequencing language is specifically designed to be used with Survalent SCADA systems. The programming environment uses database points as variables. Command sequence programs can be used for calculations, open-loop control sequences or for closed-loop control. In this session, we review and expand on concepts covered in the SurvalentONE SCADA System Level 1 and Level 2 training courses.

Upon successful completion, students earn 4 PDHs.

Objective: The Command Sequencing enablement course provides you with a step-by-step guide to:

  • Employing variables
  • Creating branches and loops.
  • Returning Values
  • Defining Arrays
  • Creating Templates.

Target Audience: Engineering, System Administrators, and Management Teams.

Pre-Requisite: Experience or SurvalentONE SCADA System Level 1 Training of SmartVU and STC Explorer

The SCADA Administration and Security enablement course provides you with the strategy to effectively secure your SCADA system

Upon successful completion, students earn 4 PDHs.

The SCADA for Operators course is designed for individuals who will be responsible for operating the ADMS-SCADA System. It will give an overview of Survalent SmartVU, the options available as well as the different types of methods to access information when required.
Upon successful completion, students earn 4 PDHs.

The SmartVU Editor enablement course provides you with an overview of the processes and tools available for developing and optimizing maps.

DMS Virtual Enablement Courses

Fault Location Isolation & Service Restoration (FLISR) (4 PDH)

The FLISR enablement course gives you the opportunity to interact with a FLISR map. You will edit a database, a map, and topological elements and then run some FLISR scenarios. You will also set up the necessary reports and switch orders for a FLISR environment.

Upon successful completion, students earn 4 PDH.

Objective: The FLISR enablement course provides Utility Professionals with “hands on” experience so they can:

  • Edit or Troubleshoot a system that has been upgraded to FLISR.
  • Simulate FLISR events.
  • Set up the necessary Switch Orders and Reports.

Target Audience: Operations Professionals desiring a solution that will minimize the downtime caused by outages that trip and lock out devices in a distribution network.

Pre-Requisite: Experience working with STC Explorer, SmartVU, and Topology Processing is highly recommended.
