Survalent Recognized for Third Consecutive Year in Gartner’s 2017 Magic Quadrant for Advanced Distribution Management Systems

BRAMPTON, ONTARIO — June 6, 2017 —Survalent, a leading provider of advanced distribution management systems (ADMS), today announced that it has been recognized once again in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Advanced Distribution Management Systems*. This is the third consecutive year that the widely-respected information technology research and advisory company has included Survalent among the ADMS vendors in its annual report. In comparison to last year, Survalent has been positioned higher for its “ability to execute” and improved in “completeness of vision”

According to Gartner, “Utility CIOs must choose technology partners to manage increasingly distributed energy resources and to satisfy rising customer expectations. Our updated Magic Quadrant evaluates vendor capabilities in this global market for systems to manage the evolving grid.”

Survalent first made its appearance on the ADMS Magic Quadrant in 2015, and has improved its position every year. To be considered, Survalent had to meet Gartner’s inclusion criteria in covering a majority of the functionalities necessary for an ADMS within an integrated environment such as  licensing “fee revenue of at least $1 million (generated during the previous 12 months) from ADMS product sales”, and had “at least three implementations (at different utility companies) that are in full production. Those production sites must be able to provide feedback on the vendor’s product capability and service quality.”

“It’s a great honor to be recognized by Gartner,” said Steve Mueller, president and CEO of Survalent. “We believe our inclusion in Gartner’s ADMS Magic Quadrant for the third straight year not only reflects our commitment to customer-driven ADMS software innovation, but also our steadfast commitment to our customers’ success and complete satisfaction.”
