When 2021 winter storms decimated Texas’ power supply, Farmers Electric Cooperative was ready, with a pre-configured Rotational Load Shedding (RLS) system. Once the order came to shed load, the utility only had to start the application and RLS automatically managed 10-minute rolling blackouts for 3 days.
