The best way to predict the future is to invent it. Solutions need to be faster, more intelligent, and provide the insight necessary to make progressive and innovative changes. In 2019, Oakville Hydro launched the Spatial Data Roadmap, an initiative designed to improve the organization’s spatial data resources to improve their day-to-day operations, as well as reliability and safety. Attendees will hear Oakville Hydro’s experiences in their spatial data journey. They’ll learn how visual representation of multiple data sources allows for more advanced analytics, and helps create a ‘map first’ approach to decision making. Attendees will also learn how spatial data can be used to select future rebuilds and improve their inspection program to focus on efficiencies.
